The "smaller" turbo is a GT28, a common SR20 turbo. The larger turbo is a GT42.

I guess there was a time crunch and they didn't end up getting the setup tuned right so they resorted back to just the 42.

i was always under the impression that a gt28rs would be a downgrade from a IX turbo.

yeah it looks like it only flows mid 20lbs/min
