I still wouldnt run it. Worst case if you got into a bad accident and it didn't deploy because you tampered with it insurance might deny your claim. plus i dont like them

Have any of you guys changed your motor mounts & shifter bushings? I ask because I am sick of being locked out of gear at high RPMs. The searching I've done has led me to believe that better motor mounts and shifter bushings will help (hopefully solve?) this problem. I just don't know how difficult it is or if anyone would like to help when I get around to ordering the parts...

Thanks for any thoughts/info guys.

pretty sure it is your clutch and not the bushings.

The airbag doesn't really come from the A-Pillar, its from above the door. It would most likely be an overlay, not replace the A-Pillar cover. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of A-Pillar gauge pods, but the X is kinda limited for gauge real estate.

The stage 1? That's what I thought as well. But I did a little looking around and based on the experience of other people with the same clutch they have replaced their bushings/mounts and had a lot better luck with the high RPM lock out. I don't expect it to be perfect, but I would like it to be a little better. Especially for the spring when I start going racing again.

yeah i am surprised you are questioning it. It is a problem will all single plate clutches minus the stock one. even if you change the bushings you could really be damaging the syncros by slamming it into gear if it isn't completely disengaging even if it "lets" you.

then again i am sure warranty will cover the tranny.

Ouch, and I'm not expecting that at all. I'll buy a shep 5 speed or have my 6 speed rebuilt first

I try not to slam gears ever, but it has happened. Esp on the track. I'm really looking for info on if anyone has changed them before though and wouldn't mind lending a hand to me doing mine eventually. That's all.
