It was to see if you were. I obviously would need to do a few things first (like get the said GM 3-port if I decided to go that route, which I've only been thinking about it a few minutes. I'm an impulsive thinking, but I try to take my time doing.

It is a downfall of the system i run but i like tuning boost from my laptop, not under my hood. They are making patches to fix the limitations of the boost control system. This gear dependent table is a step in the right direction. If you understood the system you would understand why this helps more then just for drag racing.
Trying my best to learn. Alot of the more technical stuff is a bit hard for me. I don't know why. Could also be because I haven't really taken a lot of time to learn about the other options for controlling things like boost and what not. I wish it came a bit more naturally to me because I feel like an idiot asking so many questions.

yeah i am surprised how long it too for them to get to this point with the knock control but due to its complexity i am sure it was a challenge. It is really great to see so much focus on the ecu disassembly lately.

No sh^t huh? Now, if only someone would come out with integrated logging into ECUFlash. That was the one thing that I really did not like about the whole thing (and love about DSMLink...) But I am just nit-picking...

I know that, silly Turco. But it is just sad that people are willing to pay $500+ for DSMLink in an Evo rather than F around with the free programs, mostly due to it's lack of user friendliness. I realize once you learn it, it is not bad, but still. I agree...it will get there!

Also, i think DSM link requires physical HW changes, which the evo ECUs dont need. Since no one wants to fund a full fledged project it is the slow steps of people as they have time. I am more surprised it hasn't slowed down. Luckily very smart people own these cars.

Correct...although typically you send them your ECU and they install the new EPROM chip for $30...
