yah ive been super lucky to not actually get a ref ticket in cali.

i read on the MA emissions site they require a yearly test. do you guys put it back to stock for that or just show up with what you have. currently im at ams stage3 w/injectors.

also, any of you have bikes? i read they dont need to pass an emission test. but they some kind of a 'safety' test or something right?

Emissions here is not that bad...if you know someone. As long as you are not throwing a CEL, and you pass the visual (some places are more lenient about exhausts then others) you should be all set.

yeah, I wish I had known a place that does just the visual inspection, but apparently those places are harder and harder to find, hence why I have a big R on my lower windshield. But that's just because they plugged into my ECU and my cat sensor something or other wasn't turned on. MR Turco is going to fix that for me and I should be good to go. Thankfully.

But yea, MA sucks, but probably not as bad as cali

The place I would go to when ii had my integra would just turn my headlights on and some other small stuff then pass me. Ill have to go there with the evo but it still shouldn't be much of a problem since its stock.

*sigh* Your rear O2 (or cat sensor for you Ajay) is used solely to verify you have a good working cat. It is definitely a part of emissions, and if you don't have one (because it has been deleted, but not simulated), clearly you are going to get the big FAIL (or Rejected in this case). You would have thrown a code if it was not deleted...I don't know why people don't just throw a anti-fouler (aka spacer) on it f you don't know how to simulate it in ECUFlash....

I think it is just the usual visual safety inspection. Tires, brakes, lights, turn signals, etc. I don't think there is anything special about them.

I went from stock to modded so fast and then tuned the next day by JB I had no idea what the anti fouler was. It sounds pretty simple so if I have to do that for my reinspection I will. They was it was told to me for the tune it didn't seem like what he was turning off (the CEL at the time) was a big deal. No idea it was disabled. Live and learn. This is still all so new to me so I'm learning as I go.

Hey, how's the GVR4? You loving in or what man?

I personally don't think anyone should ever install something on their car without understanding what it does. It is just dangerous, especially when you need to fix it.
