Those are some pretty convincing results for Intake Air Temps.

its a garret core and they make some of the best fmic's out there. also its 4.5" wide which is huge. i can't imagine this fitting without some cutting and removal of crash bar but it would never have to be changed again.

Sorry, those intake temps don't make any sense. That is not what intake temps do during a pull. I have data to prove that too.

That core is enormous too. I am not sure you want something that big, might make the car laggy.

They claim no need to cut or remove crash beam. There is one plate that holds the hood latch or something of that sort that has to be replaced. The buschur core is also 4.5" and it only requires you to trim one minor piece of a bracket.

Yea, they dont look right to me either. Yea, 4.5" is pretty huge and probably overkill, but this and the buschur seem to be yielding good results. 21hp 19 tq on the buschur but the UR is $100 cheaper.

hm. seems as though the x's have more room up front cause on a 8 you would have to cut all kinds of stuff. no matter if those temps are accurate or not a garret 4.5" core is all u will ever need. if ur planning on staying stock turbo forever then this is def overkill.

I should say that is not what happens on the street. On the street, when the car is moving, intake temps actually go down and post IC temps get close to intake temps. This is on the stock IC, i can show you data sometime if you want. I would get the perrin. There IC has a really great core and you can usually get them for very cheap when they are on sale.

If you are over spinning the turbo or if your turbo is outflowing your IC, then you will see the temps rise. I think that's the point they are trying to make.

....or it's just a marketing ploy :P

Exactry, unfortunately mitsu engineers designed the stock IC to handle most anything the stock turbo can throw at it. As for heatsoaking that is a different story.

Yeah pretty much what im thinking.

When modding or preparing a car you really want to buy things that fit your goals. Don't go overboard because it could end up hurting the end goal more then helping it.
