The car has definitely been taken care of. The biggest concern is that the car is still on the original clutch, but the owner is a conservative driver so hopefully I can get a bit more out of the clutch. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any rust as well. The car was always maintenanced by a mitsu dealership since he's friends with a tech at one of the local dealers.

Good call on the compression test too. Its been a while since I've bought a car... Or at least a running one haha.

 

120k on the stock clutch?!?! Yes, I would have to say he is conservative, especially since the car was not stock. I say do your homework, check it out, and if it seems solid, go for it.

 

Yep 120K on the stock clutch. I think the car has been launched a total of 5 times in its life and that was when it was stock he said. The car remain pretty much stock minus the exhaust and intake. Last year I think the ECU was flashed only last year. He goes as far as taking the stock grille out every year and repainting it black.

I think I'ma jump on it. He's asking 5K downpayment and then the rest within 3 months or if I sell the lancer before that 3 months. Personally I'm trying to come up with it all right away but we'll see how well that goes.
