As far as between the two DSM's, as far as 'beautiful' goes, I too would prefer the GSX. As far as which has a (slightly) better setup, better maintained, and probably needs less, that would be the Talon. The paint job on it cost something like $6000! It is white w/ blue pearl, which you can not see in the pictures. The suspension components have all recently been replaced, which is a big plus as well.

We shall see...
As per discussion, a small car payment is my only debate too at this point in me opting for a new car.

The white Talon looks like the better deal to me, considering the two choices. That would be my pick. It certainly looks mean with that paint scheme

Dude...I told you I could be the 'silent partner' in the relationship with you and Jill. You two have to discuss it...you know I'm game for sharing and can seperate all feelings...so there won't be any attachment on my part

Took these pictures in Quincy, MA (Wollaston Beach and Marina Bay) about a month ago.

I think I overdone the photo editing a little this time.

Wow, wish I had heard about this:

Aparently there is a thread somewhere in the X forums to explain. I read about it on another forum. Can post link for those interested.

Old news. This happened to one of the first Evo X owners. I think there was/is more to the story than what was ever told or explained. Gas pedals don't just break. I stopped following the thread soon after it was generated.

Wow, a few people? I would be a little pissed. That seriously sucks though. Talk about a defect.

How so? Given the amount of occurances, I would say its not a defect. Just a handful of bad units that were produced by the company who made the throttle pedal assembly for Mitsu. Give or take about 5 occurances...it's not a crucial or even a significant amount to consider a redesign or even addressing it as a manufacturer.

Mitsubishi "warrantied" your engine, correct? What was the defect there? What was the true diagnosis? Regardless the nature of the "cause" for failure, it was taken care of by the manufacturer (imo, you are lucky). Last I checked, mods + driver mishap + engine failure = not warranty. I seem to remember you were more worried about the cost of the repair than you were pissed about it. Then they miraculously got it covered. To keep this short, a gas pedal accidentally breaking is a fluke thing. Don't be so quick to question or label something a "defect" when you abused the system for your "defect."
