Bruce, congrats on the inevitable purchase of smikes car.
Thanks! Figured it was the best option for me. Turco you mind helping me with the inspection? Smike said he deactivated one of the o2 sensors. I'm don't know if the car will pass the MA obd2 test... From what i know if the car has no cel light i should be good. However since that was for my lancer and i had both my o2 sensors working (one with a defouler) whereas Smikes evo has one deactivated.

All you need to pass is no CEL's and you can have up to 2 "readiness checks" not ready. Not sure how a deactivated O2 would read, but it may be fine. I would just try it. Worse thing would be you would have to go back.

Alright I'll PM you when I actually get the car. August 6th I'll be flying out to OH to pick up the car... Smike is also including 95% of the stock parts so worse comes to worse i could reactivate the o2 sensor somehow and then going ahead and swapping the cat. converter back in.

I have a Tactrix cable as well, not the new one just the one they sold 2-3 years ago. Bought it with hopes of logging the RA with my new laptop, that went real well...

-Paul thanks for offering up the radio, sorry about making you lug it around. I wound up swapping an old cassette deck into the evo...

I also have some parts up for sale I'll throw a quick list here:
These parts are still tentatively for sale, I need to figure out what I plan on using on the new car. Although most of this stuff it already has.
- Cusco Rear Strut Bar
- Cusco Rear Trunk Bar (not sure if they're for sale)
- Mini perrin (the really short one) antenna
- JDM (evo Ix) metal BOV
- Hallman boost controller
- Autometer Boost gauge with universal screw mount
- OEM Mitsubishi gauges with NO sensors
- OEM Mitsubishi Rain Gaurd (hood vent grille)

Regarding the BBS Rims guys, I'm thinking about holding onto them and selling one or two of the now 3 sets of OEM Enkeis that I'll have.. Sorry guys...

bruce, i would be interested in the set of 8 rims. Please let me know if you sell a set. I might even be interested in them with the race comps smike has on them.

someone should really grab that IX Bov.

I might run the r-comps on my new 5zigen rims since they'll fit better. I need to swap the 8's tires over to the bbs rims ehem i get the car back here. Pm me your offer on the rims.

Dumb question but would i be better off running 245/45/17 or 255/40/17? The price is roughly the same on tirerack so other than the potential of rubbing on the wheel i'm unbias towards either.

i don't think you have done a lot of racing but you should start off on street tires. Rcomps aren't really something anyone should learn on.

Def let me know if you get rid of the wheels.

stock size is 235/45-17

rolling diameter is calced: (235mm * .45 * 2) + (17" * 25.4mm/in)

you can figure out which of those two sizes is closer

I will give him the benefit of the doubt, and say that his luck will finally change.

That being said, I give the car a month before it is hit.
