i guess we need to wait and see the tuning potential of the 4b11...
if it is like the wrx vs sti i am sure there will be a lot of small differences. In the end the Evo will always have the best of the best parts.

it's actually set to the softest setting...it's still a major change over stock...you get a lot of cut-throttle oversteer

I'd recommend the softest...even if just in the beginning.

How do you feel about the sway, do you think it is a necessary upgrade? I really like the way the car feels stock so i am hesitant about upgrading. I think some endlinks would probably be a cheap start anyway.

I think your rear sway and defin. endlinks may be the way to go for the rear bottom.

there issome school of thought that says a sway bar is only necessary when you have improper spring rates. remember, it ties the rear two whees together, so you lose independent movement.

that being said, i run a 1" rear sway bar and keep it on the middle setting- that gives me flexibility in either direction if i need it.

i'm starting to feel better. finally. i'm actually able to do some work.

Sways really arent necessary unless you dont like the way the car turns. The evo handles very neutral and in stock form does have lift-throttle oversteer and doesnt understeer as badly as the STi. I would just make sure you want to "enhance" that before putting them on because i know from being a passenger in mikies car, if you dont know how to handle the car when it does what it is going to do, things get very dicey.

you can certainly argue that sways degrade performance...

that said, i really appreciate the rear sway, especially lowered on the springs as i feel like all aspects of daily driving as well as spirited driving are improved.

I felt like my car handled the driving course better than randy's...even with him sporting the LSD up front...

remember, my car felt like it understeered alot more than the new evos with the front LSD, so the improvement felt dramatic...

i think it's a reasonable $200-$250 upgrade, especially with the endlinks and stout mounts.
