remember to wrap 'er before you shove it in some dude's crapper.....
please don't make your IC black. * ******** **** ** ******* ** **
plus, i have to believe that anodization is going to change the heat transfer properties...probably pretty drastically... just my $0.02

Really, isnt it just a dye? I might ask ETS about this since they have been doing this on their ICs recently.
i believe it thickens the material and changes the crystalline structure... i'd wager that simply thickening the material would be enough to change the thermal conductivity....further, i'd guess that blackening the IC would make it more subject to heat soak by virtue of the absorption of light/uv rays/heat...
but i may be full of isht.
you electrically change the composition of the material on teh surface...namely, oxidizing it.

(I remember 'red cat and an ox' from high school physics)

in any case, black will definitely absorb more heat in the sun, once you are moving, it should be okay, but still, i would just polish it and make it as reflective as possible.
reduction happens at the cathode, oxidization happens at the anode.

I'd personally rather go to friday's. I am not sure why you have so many bad experiences at all these restaurants. I have never had issues at fridays. I thought you went there a couple of weeks ago?
