no seriously... every single statie acts like the BIGGEST F'ING DICK!!!! Like they have a huge hard on for treating people like complete retards. I went to court to asking where to wait for my traffic violation - and the two staties standing there both acted like complete *******s - and one was in a suit and goes to me with a complete attitude, you better get in that court room - if you don't want to be held responsible.??? I'm like WTF - i'm 10 minutes early... you *******

In court another staties was like "we told you three times that your exhaust was illegal"

well retard if it was illegal, why is it that every magistrate refuses to rule whether or not the exhaust is legal... if it was up to the state police, i seriously wouldn't have a license right now...

/end rant

that doesn't work anymore - they have a record of every warning and ticket you get, and they almost always look you up before they approach the vehicle nowadays... really sucks for me - cause i have a spotty record... even though i was found not responsible and not guilty for my last several infractions.

nope... they used my past record against me... which shouldn't be legal - but they did. Basically the guy was like - well you got out of your last 3 tickets... and found me responsible... on a technicality. apparently 90-16 is so broad reaching - they can fine me driving with an exhaust leak. even though i they couldn't say i illegally modified my exhaust. so after arguing with them for 15 minutes, the magistrate says "well i'm not going to rule on the exhaust either - but i find you responsible, because you drove the car with an exhaust leak"

really made my day...

edit: he did reduce it to $50 which is what it should have been in the first place, but now i have a 3rd moving violation on my record... *sigh* my insurance company loves me.

You can appeal the fact that 90-16 is a surchargable violation to your insurance company. 90-16 certainly covers surchargable activities (operating studded tires in the summer, operating with emergency lights and sirens as a non-emergency vehicle) but a loud exhaust shouldn't be one of them. You can appeal the surcharge by demonstrating that conviction on "loud exhaust" doesn't change yoru risk factor, as an operator. It will take up to 2 years to go through the system but if you win, you will get back all of your increased premium that you paid.

I can help you with a letter if you want

ok- for all of you EE's out there:

if you have two speakers (dual voice coil) 4 ohms each- if you wire each voice coil in serial and then wire the speakers in parallel, you still end up with a 4 ohm load. cool.

however, if you run a 500 w amp to feed these speakers, do you now supply 500w per speaker or does it essentially because 250w per speaker? i don't want to exceed the maximum excursion for the drivers.....

It's 250W, per speaker.

You have power coming in (500W) = P = I*V

For 2 loads in parallel, they both see the same (V)

But each sees 1/2 (I)

So for each load you get (V) * (I/2) which in your case is 250W
