Ohio Resources
In a couple months, I'll be moving out to Ohio. I've spent my entire life in Eastern Mass and I now have an opportunity. So I'm taking that opportunity and going to Ohio. Almost anywhere in the US would have suited, but I have a good friend in Ohio so I figured that was a good a spot as any. He's living in Hilliard, so I plan to end up relatively near there.
I've been doing some research into that area and have found the day-to-day things (cost of living, apartment rates, etc.) look very good. But I haven't been able to pin down the automotive side of OH. And as I plan to get an Evo X next year, I'm going to need some advice. I'm asking now because I might be able to adjust the area I'm looking to live in to better fit the Evo.
What I have found is the Mid Ohio Raceway about 65mi or so away.
THAT I'm really looking forward to.
So what I'm asking is, what good car-related resources are there near Hilliard/Columbus? (i.e. Speed Shops, Car Shows, Auto-X, hangouts, etc. )
Any help would be appreciated.

Now THAT'S good to know!
It's looking like the columbus area is already a great place to be. Guess I lucked out.
My friend mentioned that there was a restaurant chain out there that was car-related and that's where car enthusiasts usually hang out on the weekends. Is that right?

norwalk (or summit motorsports park as it is now known) is 2 hours away and about 15 minutes from buschur..

National Trail Raceway is about an hour from columbus (drag racing), there are a bunch of scca auto-x events that go on in columbus. Speed shop wise, theres a place called slow motion motorsports in columbus that works on mostly hondas but can tend to your evo needs, and theres always buschur 2 hours away. Buschur always has their dsm events every year. And mid ohio of course, LeMans and Indy Car racing this weekend!!!
