So I was trying DESPERATELY to find a local awd dyno in my area and a shop that I would trust my evo to (for installs and tuning). I found a place about an hour a way from me called innovative tuning in Buffalo NY... I saw that they sponsor our forum Evom so I figured Id give them a shot, called them up asked some questions...
First off they sold there dyno, so only option theyd have is street tuning. 2nd I talked to there "tuner" and he sounded like he knew nothing about evos... I told him my mods and how I have a mbc coming in like tomorrow and plan on setting it at about 22psi and an autometer boost gauge so that I can more accurately set it since the stock gauge is in bar and bla bla bla...
He says autometers gauges arent accurate and they always read about 2 psi high, and that my car needs a walbro fuel pump to run anything about 20 psi or else its dangerously lean... I told him that I have ben mail-in tuned via dynoflash already... But he persisted, I dont know if he was thinking about evo 8s and there pump or just knows nothing... Also there prices were pretty outragous. Dont mean to bash but, all that Ive stated above is correct right? Im not nuts... 21-22psi is a safe boost level with my mods correct? I was under the impression that no new custom tune, or new mail in flash would be required just for a mbc install... anybody in my area have any shops they use and trust?!!?
If Im wrong, please correct me and any western NY guys (I kno there isnt many) if you can chime in on shops or anything Id greatly appreciate it.

Yeah I actually emailed Al and he recommended setting it at 21psi on pump gas, also said since I had my flash (about a year or so) there flashes have gotten a lot better due to R&D... Might be worth my while to send it to him again for the 100 bucks.
