Sorry man. I'd love to help you out, but I'm in Mass. I do have my doubts that an electric impact wrench will have the ***** ( also know as torque ) to bust those nuts loose. Size 11/4" and 11/2" nuts that you can't get off with a breaker bar probably won't come off with an electric gun. Might want to change it to" need oxy-acetylene torch". Which brings up a good point. If the nuts are in a spot that you can heat them, get even a plumbers propane or mapp gas torch. If you heat the nuts, they might expand enough for you to get them off with the breaker bar set up. Good luck !!!!

From just searching around most of the electrical impact wrenches put out between 300-450 lb-ft of torque which sounds OK but paltry when compared to pneumatic impact wrenches which put out 800 lb-ft +.

Never thought of heating the nut, but it's logical suggestion.

Your suggestion has crossed my mind more than once while trying to remove the nuts.

I didn't really want to spend the $150+ for a electric impact wrench nor the $50+ for a socket.

But it look's like I may very well have to.

Thank you both for your replies.

Quuite a few auto parts places also rent tools for do it yourself'ers. If you ethics (or wallet) prevent the buy-and-return scam, try to rent!

Having had to work though many rusty and stuck bolts, the electric impact guns are not that great. Like others said: head it. Use the MAPP gas (kit usually costs about $25 at Lowes). Heat for ~ 5mins (or until red hot for 30 secs or so), then throw cold water over it. The heat expands the bolt and the water quickly cools it and shrinks it. This usually helps break the bolt. Then apply penetrating oil and let sit for a while for ti to work. If it still does not go, try heating the area around the bolt and breaking the bolt while area is hot. If you heat the bolt instead of the area around it, you will make it softer and more prone to breaking right off. Then you will be stuck with a bolt with no head.... not FUN!
