dsm/evo/mitsubishi day sat oct 13th
this is at englishtown raceway park tomorrow. i hate to make a new thread but when do the gates open for this event. i looked on the website but did not get to far. it said something about bmw's and junk. can anyone help out. thanks.
The show portion from Mitsuday was completed.
The drag racing was rained out, and will be held tomorrow (10/13).
The "official" statement was "eliminations are cnacelled unitl Oct.13th " but I hope they will let everyone make a couple
time passes. It's going to be 60 tops tomorrow, and the cars will be performing very different from Sept. 22nd.

ok just to clear things up. If I was NOT at the original event on the 22nd and obviously did not register my car for that day...can I still go tomorrow and register my car for eliminations??

Yes, but not as many as were there at the first day.
They also only had a mitsu bracket class, so all the HU guys were kinda screwed IMHO.
That said, the place was empty, and with time trials from 10:00-12:30, you could make as many passes as you wanted.
There were guys hot lapping their cars and prob got 14-15 passes in before elims.
To answer the above question, no, only the guys with the rain check tickets could be in the eliminations.
But you could get a tech card and just run TT's until your clutch fell out.
2 of my time runs were solo, because there were so few cars.
I stopped at 5 time trials, because A) I was smelling a little clutch, and B) the launch on my last 2 runs was getting a little violent.
Was starting to get a lil' bit of wheel hop, and after what happened to my boy Kouzman, I was a bit nervious.
I don't think the track was prepped very well. They had a fleet of those 6sec. outlaw class cars coming in for the PM session,
so I think they saving all the VHT for them.
Lost in the first round ( first time for everything I guess
) Wrote my best time on the window.
Would have to run a PB to break out, and .... yeah you guessed it . Oh well.

Maybe some of you will recognize your car in the other lane.
Of course, now I get to wait for "guess who" to stop by and tell me how bad my driving is, or how slow my car is for the mods, yada yada ...
