Long story short the wife, kids, and I may be transferring to NJ, but even though ..long term it makes sense.. 7 years+.. I just don't know if I can do it. To buy a house 60% of the size we have now is 500k, that floors me, plus property tax . We're still thinking about it......and I do love the idea of being close to NYC, mountains, beach etc. like I said down the road this the better financial decision plus we'll get to see more of this great nation.

What o you guys do just live in "older" homes, live house poor, or what?

Jasil:

The answer to your question is easy: we live in debt .

Aren't you amazed we here in NJ have the money left for parts for our Evo's.

You should look at the prices for houses in NYC because it's even worse (I know because I used to live there).

Seriously, if you need help in the housing market in NJ please PM me; my aunt is a real estate agent and can help you out.

New Jersey=

Jersey Smells (landfills anyone?), their residents drive like idiots (non Evo drivers of course), they have jug-handles, and the taxes are very high!

I'm from the Philadelphia area, would you expect any less...

Let's not get it twisted, we still have a good time in dirty jersey but the cost of living makes it so challenging, and I also agree, the shore is awesome!
