If I decide to part out my car I'll keep you in mind. I just put the winged trunk lid back on.

Man, I was supposed to get off work at 2:30 today and I was really looking forward to going out sledding in the new car but a friend asked me to stay late at work and help him finish a project...

Garages are the best! Except it snowed for a few hours while I was at work today, so now I have to go clean it off.

Gotta love the snow tires!

Any of you guys ever get wheels powdercoated or painted by a bodyshop? I don't know what price is fair... I'm going to get a few estimates but i would like to know what some others paid to give me a good idea?
I know it varies by color but I plan on doing a matte black which should be less money compaired to other colors.

Thats sounds about right as far as what I was thinking it would cost. I think someone here at work said he has a guy that will do black for about $200 for all 4.
Wheels, I picked up a set of RPF1's in 17x8.5 +30. Got them used (but like new), it just took me a month to find a set. Go back a page ot two, I posted a pic.

Anyone else?

Liquid PowderCoat does 17 inch wheels for $60 a piece, in any color. I dont remember if they charge more to get cleared, but $60-70 is fair price. The price includes parts cleaning also. They also do low temp coating, so they can pretty much coat anything, even plastic! Here's the link Pete.

Thanks guys...
Time is somewhat of an issue for me. I want to have them back within two weeks so I can get my tires mounted and ready to go for the CBP autox on 3/22. I was really just looking to find out what peope have paid so I know a fair price would be.

I just was going to mention JNZ finishing. I had them do a manifold and couple misc. parts and they came out nice.

I asked about their powder coating for a set of wheels I had and I think their price was around $60-$70 per wheel.
$50-$75/ea seems to be about the norm.

I've read if you powder coat an already forged wheel that you want to use a low-temp method so it doesn't weaken the metal.

Pete, what tires will you be running on the wheels? I have a set of RE-01 coming in...just hope it comes in time for the event, or I will be running on some Falken all seasons...

Chu, I'll be running my Michelin PS2's on them. I was going to order a set of RE-01's but money is somewhat of an issue right now. I'm trying to save for my Cali adventure in May, so I skipped on picking up a set of tires. My Michelin's are still in decent shape and should last the season (provided I don't do too many autox's).

Thanks for all the advice on powercoating guys . I called a local place here in West Chester (Brooks Powdercoating) and they were just way too expensive, roughly $110ea. I can't afford anything like that. I might just have to face the reality of leaving them silver for this year, and getting them done next winter when I know I'll need to have the tires replaced. I'm going to check with a few more places before I get my tires mounted.
