Philadelphia Car Meets
IMAX tonight
Hi all,
Just a heads up, I know it's short notice but tonight is the last big meet of the year at the IMax theater parking lot in KofP. Starts at 8 PM. ColonelFox and I will be there, so if you're bored, swing on by!

Dude I had a friggin blast today!! It never got old listening to my dad just outright laughing the whole way through his runs, he was having soo much fun out there
I was real happy for him, he said up front he just wanted a 36 by the end of the day. His first run out he went 35 I believe and only dropped from there. He was an incredibly quick learner and picked up on what he was doing and how to improve it real quick. He ended up with a 32.5 at the end (if my memory serves me correctly) which is awesome for being behind the wheel of the car for the first time in over 4 years!
As for me I was given a re-run on run 5 and basically threw it away... boo. Amazing how throwing on your wipers can mess with your concentration that bad
Great day though, realized the importance of having fun out there. Having my dad co-pilot was a huge stress reliever, worked out well in the end too I would say.
To all those first timers today it was great having that many of us out there. We definitely took over BSP in fashion.
Shaw, the announcer seemed like he was fascinated with the metal flake in your paint, he was commenting on it every run you had.
Everyone else awesome time and hopefully you enjoyed it as much as I did. EVO's FTW

Had a blast, but my driving is still horrible. I managed 33.8 first, and only got worst! ast run felt good, but was called off...I dont know where. How is it possible I do four runs fine, and go off on the last?.
I had a good time today hangin with everyone but I'm not happy with my driving. I did all the things I told myself not to do, I know I left a ton of time out there. oh well, thats racing I guess.
I hope all the guys that did their first event had a good time also. the more EVO's out there it seems the more fun you have, regadless of how fast you're going. and speaking of fast, Doug, thanks for whippin my butt. the scary thing is that car isn't even really setup yet.
can't wait to see the results and how close we all were.

Nice meeting you too Shaw. that was Stephen (or Steven) Locket. I just call him Locket. Amazing what someone who's done this a couple times can show you, huh. Just wait till you sit with someone like Iman, Adam, Cory, Simmons, ect...
The camera is a GoPro motorsport WIDE. it was like $139 shipped on ebay. they are coming out with an HD version. it actually might already be out now. Pretty rugged camera.

Chip, what little I saw it wasn't anything special, maybe 12 cars all together. No where near the turnout I think they were expecting.
Yea the car show was beat. A lincoln on daytons, a 5 series on bbs, and a vette with water flames
Marc that camera angle is nice. Run 4 it goes right over the cone.
And those damn Mikitas are fast
