Sounds good! i hope its ready in time for the Showdown at E-town in October. The event should be bigger and better then last which in my opinion was a success.

After seeing that new Tial QR bov I'm very tempted to have a custom uicp made and run one. I'd like it on my DSM as well but i already have a brand new UICP flanged for a greddy and i'm not trying to hack it up. Just wish i knew they were coming out with it sooner. I have a few small mods i plan on doing when the weather changes, get a safe tune, and then maybe next year go with a more upgraded setup and i'll go for it then on the VII. Hoping with the limited amount of time i drive the car i won't need a clutch rite away.

Nah. Won't make that mistake again. The kid I got it from left it outside for over a month in the rain with the oil pan off turned upside down. It was filled with water and horribly rusty on the outside. I had to clean it really well anyway. I stuffed the inside with bubble wrap then sealed up all the openings. I'm sure a little will get in but I can clean it.

Petey, do you use a certain style gas can to store E85? I've done some searching and I can't really find too much that isn't way out of my budget...

Getting serious with this E-85 huh Pete? Going to do the alt map? Ben's hand pump is pretty badass.

Here's Ben's http://www.flo-n-go.com/products/product_duramax/

Don't think it is... pretty sure the ethanol can breakdown regular cans. I could be wrong. I'm sure you could use one for a little while, but I would def want to keep some on hand just incase.

Absolutely, why not... I have a pump 2 miles from my house and I almost have to drive by it everyday to and from work. Not sure about alt maps, if Petey could make that happen then yes, that would be great. I would also like to run Tephra in my car, but I don't have any of the knowhow to do that stuff myself, and I don't have a tactrix cable yet.

Yes, but is his tank E85 compatable, it doesn't say...?

Ben's is a 14 gallon.

Tephra mods are not hard to set up. Your tuner should be able to set it up for with ease, even I was able to do it. Oh, lets just say you won't be the only one converting to corn this summer!

For some reason I thought you weren't supposed to use Polyethylene containers.

You too huh? You gonna do that even though you need your car for work? I think its easier for me since I don't DD my car... you just run alt maps?

Or is the E30 going "green"?

E-30 is staying on 93 and competing in E-stock this season, under Chau.

I'm doing alt map, using the I/C controller. Already have my injectors. Just waiting til the March to get her tuned!

Is that right... you can use that switch to go between the two? I'm def doing it then... Do you get Petey to get you a set of RC's? That what he recommended to me.

Alright, I'm off to the house for the rest of the day. Have a good one gents...

Yes, I got 1000cc RC...they're more expensive than the other brands, but they're great.

do you guys have to run e85 in a separate tank like in the trunk or do you just have to ensure your regular tank is totally empty before fueling with whatever (gas or ethanol)?

just wondering.

Same tank but I would imagine its a good idea to be on empty before you fill. I have to get something in the 1200 cc range to really use it though. These 780's are maxxed out a it is.
I could be wrong about the container but its hard to imagine e85 being that caustic and not destroying the injector orings and various fuel system lines and seals.
