Philadelphia Car Meets
Kittens is a baller, sounds to me like you have it going on. Let me break it down; in school, skiing all the time - east coast west coast its all good. My favorite is the lawyer on retainer, neva know mang!
BTW, I managed not to hurt myself skiing yesterday, I thought that is important detail to mention with the people reading this thread.....

I think blue is cursed, I'm absolutely convinced.
Three weeks ago I went out, split my head open and left a lot more blood on the hill than I cared to donate. Helmet ordered next day once the loss of blood subsided.
Went this Friday for the first time since, helmet on and feeling great. Then my buddy shatters his collar bone into three pieces, not even two hours into the day. Turn of events doesn't look too promising.
Who wants to go with me next? One guarantee is you'll come home injured, carried down in the sled and will be on a hospital bed within hours. Who's down?

Lol. I was a skateboarder through middle school and high school. I assumed snow boarding would come naturally but spent almost an entire day falling on my ***. I never went more than a few feet. I have excellent balance and coordination but it was pathetic. Skiing was marginally better.
i think I might have you beat chubaca. 106,7xx as of sunday morning
no doubt you'll have me beat by next month, I think I put maybe 1k on the car since sept. I might actually be exempt from emissions this year.
almost identical mods to mine, except I probably have more NHV due to the sphearical bearing PSRS, but I don't have an issue with daily duty. I did all those mods because they make the car more enjoyable to drive.
I think you mean your parents have a lawyer on retainer
I thought I broke my *** last time I went boarding. tried a couple times to learn how to ride but never really took a liking to it. mostly because of all the ice we have here. all you have to do is catch an edge and you're going down hard. it wouldn't be so bad landing like that on the fresh powder out West, but not so much on this East ice.

I don't think my car will ever reach 100k miles. I've only driven it 5.5k miles in the two years of owning it. I'm currently sitting at 25k miles.
bryan, i can't imagine driving my car that infrequently.
btw it needs to be said that we picked on kittens a little too hard. kittens my sig was just for fun. it sparked a conversation and i deleted it. you're welcome in our goup if you want to be.

people were just starting to wear helmets when I was getting out of skiing. had I known then what I know now I'd be going down the mountian with my SCCA approved snell 2005 full face.
I went to Blue yesterday with my buddy, he boards and I ski. Let me say that was the most crowded lift line I have been in, maybe ever. I was a lift rat at Killington when I was 21, I have been out West and all over the East Coast, never had such a wait. It was over 35 minutes in line, thats RIDIC!
Funny, we got there at 8:30, banged out 5 runs quick and then the 10:00 rush came. It was more tiring standing in line then skiing! That was my first time out in like 3 years. My wife and I are going to Elk the weekend of the 12th this month. I will be night skiing Friday and day skiing Sat. I figured with all the snow I needed to get out there already, I still had a good time even with the massive crowd. Somehow I managed to schedule my ski weekend on the same weekend as the last Winter Series Autox (they had to have moved dates around, I know I checked). If anyone wants to meet up at Elk Sat. morning the 13th, I will be there ripping it up looking for some Glades to ski (probably need to get on a plane for that).

I hit my head hard twice with no helmet. Once was in the sun and once was at night when it was all ice, the second one killed. I just need to work on going on my toes, on my heels I'm fine.

I do think the trails were **** and the rental board was garbage.
Kevin, go down Paradise next time. It's much easier and less crowded than Lazy Mile. Rental boards are definitely garbage. If you're serious about gettign into snowboarding, SierraSnowboard has some great deals in the off season.
That they do, I picked up a new board/ bindings from tactics for 75% off or so.
