Let's just agree to go our separate ways on this. Matt, the tuner at DSG, does not strike me as a confrontational person. Others at DSG are, and that is too bad. I enjoyed working with Matt when I was still learning the stock Evo ECU platform back in February of 2007.

DSG has their claims to fame... I have no reason to doubt their ability to tune certain platforms for certain types of racing. They deserve respect for that.

I stumbled on this thread, in which one of my customers throws out a recommendation for my services. DSG shows up to shoot me down in post #12. Do you understand my inability to just leave this thread alone? Especially knowing what I now know about their Evo tunes, it is very difficult for me not to wave a giant caution banner, because it's legitimately painful to me to see people so confused about a purchase they've made (from any tuner), that I can easily explain exactly where it is lacking.

My thoughts were not to promote myself, but to educate the confused on why their car is not performing as they'd hoped. The original poster was in that exact situation... several other people I've worked with were in that exact situation... I was in that exact situation.

But it really isn't going to get either of us very far bickering online, so I'll just withdraw my comments from this thread and walk away. Again, if anyone wants my opinion on their current tune, from any source at all, I will be glad to give a thorough explanation of good & bad, at 100% no charge. You can take my feedback and post it verbatim on the EcuFlash forum of EvoM and see what experienced tuners say about my suggestions. That is what the EvoM community is all about, and that is why I love it... we can all share and understand our cars together.

Ok so aparantly this thread has had alot of activity since i last posted in it.
Im not really sure what to say in response to everything that has been said here. If anyone has any questions for me, feel free to ask.

I purchased the car originally with a turbo trix mail in tune at 23psi. I brought the car to DSG and had them tune it. The car felt alot weaker to me then when i brought it to them, but i was assured that the turbo trix tune was not safe, and that the way they tuned the car was much safer and they tuned it for either 20 or 21psi, i cant remember now.

Around the time i started this thread, i got my hands on evo scan and did a 3rd gear pull with my car, a few 3rd gear pulls actually, and found them all to have 5-6+ counts of knock, and afr's in the high 12's. Thats when i decided to post this thread and in the end, had shameless tune me. He got the car tuned for 23psi and it felt much better and even my friends noticed it.

I just recently installed an aquamist hfs-1 meth kit in the car and its now tuned for about 28psi and feels insane. Shameless is still in the process of tuning it because ive been kind of slacking on getting him the logs lately.lol. The car is making no knock and it feels great.

You said i can come back and make dyno runs for free. Are you serious about this? If so, when would you be willing to make it happen?
