Hey Guys Raceway park is finally opening it's road course. I've waited two years for this. To celebrate they're going to allow people to use it for free for one weekend. Let's see if we can get a group going from Brooklyn to try this out. I'm going to see if I can take that Saturday off from work to attend. If not I would have to go on Sunday.

To celebrate the official opening of the road course, Raceway Park will be opening it to the public for free lap time over the course of three days, June 6th, 7th, and 8th.
Just show up to try it out. 250 per day limit.

Gate Times: Friday 12-5pm, Saturday 10am-3pm, Sunday 10am-5pm.

Most likely just an SA2000+ helmet and a car that will pass the tech inspection. My club recently tried to get a private track day there and those was the only requirements that they told us about.

siracing.net, we were trying to get a day for ourselves on the 9th.

About 28 people signed up initially but when it came time to pay up most of them ran for the bushes. We had about 8 people actually pay money (only $175 for the whole day), we needed at least 25. The organizer is trying to plan another day.

A lot of guys were from my350z.com and I saw a few guys from EvoM on the list as well, were you one of them? Anyway, next time around I will make a post about it to see if we can swell the numbers and get that 25 people.

I am praying that it is not. By the time next week rolls around however, I'm sure the news will have traveled to every corner of the Tri-State area. So, yeah...... parade laps FTL!

 

It will be slow parade laps. You really think E-town will allow drivers to (race) around in the road course? Think of how many hundreds of newbies with 0 track experience are going to show up? This is why its free, free test the road course out not racing for the best lap times. This road course is very dangerous, walls, not enough run off space...etc

I'm going there on Saturday. Leaving brooklyn around 7am. Just want to see the track. Don't have high expectations for it tho... If any1 wants to roll in a group we should meet up maybe in the Best Buy parking lot , Ceasar's Bay .
