Help Installing Gauges
Help Installing Gauges
Hey,
Looking for someone in the MA area to help install a fuel and oil pressure gauge. They are prosport gauges, the fuel pressure gauge has never been hooked up, the oil pressure went weird in the winter, may need to be replaced, just don't want to buy one without knowing for sure. I don't mind paying good money for quality work. Downtime on the car is important, so someone who can get this done in one day is a plus. These are going into a triple pillar pod.

Well, you have a few options for the sending unit:
you can replace the stock sender with the new one
you can take out the plug above the oil filter to put the new sender in AND keep your stock
You can buy a sandwich adapter plate and install up to 4 senders/feed lines
As for the wiring, it's pretty simple...two of the wires are for your alternate lighting, one is for the ground, and the other goes to an ignition activated power source (your fuse block under the dash has a few open slots you can wire into).

Thanks,
Getting an oil filter block adapter I think is the best way to tap in for oil pressure. Allows for lots sensors to be tapped in if you want oil temp as well. I also use that for my oil feed on my S2000. Of course don't need that on the Evo's though.
