new england evo meet
Well, this is still set in stone, right? 9/14/2008 LL Bean parking lot in Freeport, Me......???? What time are we planning on meeting in the parking lot?
Any NH/Ma guys want to meet up off of Interstate 95 near the NH/ME border for a group cruise there? I am willing to meet up with anyone willing to do so.

I think I have finalized some areas....3 options (not too too far north...)
1) Rangeley Lakes Region in Maine (My number 1 choice, it's a bit more north, but, I think this should really be a nice long cruise if we're all getting together for it, mine as well make it a good one....Absolutely love it up there, very open, absolutely No traffic, nice roads, great views of the rivers, lakes and mountains, very, very peaceful, and wouldnt be bothered at all up that way by anyone, and can easily manage 15+ cars in a group nicely....even with passing lanes....would be great for photos)
2) Kancamagus Highway Area(shouldnt be too much traffic as it's still too early for foliage) Obviously route 112 is a nice road, my only concern is a big group of us traveling together in the twisties, but could be fun...as long as there is no traffic....
3) Sebago Lake area- Haven't been up around the lake in a few years, but I know it is pretty nice...
The exact routes are not totally worked out yet...just wanted to get an area finalized before I put too much time in to a wrong route. I figure there can be a caravan in MA, (which could meet up with the NH one possibly), and one in ME and we could meet up somewhere on the way to one of these locations. I know it's tough to please everyone but lets see how this goes....it's going to be a fun day with lots of pics, some nice cruising and a good meet and great with new and old faces... Let me know what you all think...like I said, I vote for Rangeley area but not dead set on it...
EDIT: Also once the route is finalized I will email a map to everyone coming so we can all stay on the same track.

I am game for a longer cruise, but of course, I will have to do something with our dogs and it may require a hotel stay. In all honesty, I could easily be convinced to do the first option and just make a weekend out of it.
I also have 5-6 radios that I'll round up from my parents' place to bring along...
Yea dave i'll get some mileage's tonight when I exact it a bit more...and if any of us did a hotel, which I'm not opposed to either, they are pretty cheap up there.....when we stayed at sunday river in july, at one of the top room options for the night, included kitchen, etc...it was like 100 bucks, and could sleep four....so any other place should be cheaper than that...it will be nice way to kind of end the summer in either case

I'm down for whatever Paul. I will let the majority make the decision. Either way, all three places would be great. But if I had to vote, I would vote the Kamcamangus last just because of its reputation for traffic for the scenery. Even during the non-foliage time frame.
Edit: I need pics of my car. seriously.

Yea, exactly Tim, that's why I fear that a lot of cars could be a no-no for that route...
Vegas, I think I may have some for the calendar of Patches in all her glory..
Tim, we'll definitely get some great quality pics up there
