brandon from turbotrix went 9.0 at 152

turbotrix's orange car were having some issues so didnt get to make a full pass

 

I'm pretty sure that was me even though I have Advan RZs in dark gunmetal...they kinda look like the RGII's...but yea man, I tried EVERYTHING lowered tire pressure...lowered 2 step...launched in gravel mode (not sure if that helped lol)...wouldn't stick to the track. I finally put on summer tires on it and it was hitting 1.9 60 foots all day...with snows I was getting 1.6 60 foots 80% of the time, I figured the Advans were gonna give me a little more grib, but they were pretty much just good for a little smoke show. My biggest problem right now is grip in 1st, I was killing all the other gears.

...I'm letting my car chill out now though, I was in traffic for 3hrs which put a pretty good beating on my clutch, I went to hit on it from 2nd gear and it started to pull and than the RPMs just flew up, same happened to me later with 4th =\

Yea they look the same from way up in the stands. LOL What clutch did you have and if i recall you were shifting to 5th right?

 

I have the Exedy Triple Carbon clutch...I've had it since Dec of 06 and I have to get it looked at, I'm not sure the flywheel is too happy right now..and yea I was forced to shift to 5th, either that or a good chance of messing up the track and being forced to upgrade to a built 2.0 :-p

 

I had a good time. I made it pretty far in the bracket but ran too fast! I know its not the greatest time but I ran a 12.8 at 106mph and the subby guys couldn't believe I had a stock turbo I was like there are way faster stock turbo evo's out there. The last run I am sure would have beena 12.6 but I let off trying not to break out! but oh well.

I was there, won the EVO STOCK APPEARING class for 3 years in a row now..A girl driving an EVO came in 2nd and she did awesome...I feel bad to take a win from her because she did great..11.60@118 stock turbo 05 MR..3430lbs with ZERO gas and me in the car..Heavyweight contender!!what happened to everyone??sorry I had cocktails.

 

I had a great time as always. I got lucky again this year. LOL

im still mad about the bracket races..i said 13.2! and i got a 13. 2/7 couldnt really tell they saw 13.7 and i broke out but it was a good day and i got some nice ideas from the Fizz white evo

 

haha great job! Don't feel bad, you have the faster car .. second was FINE with me considering I don't have much seat time in my evo at all!! But it was great running you! Congrats .. three years in a row .. damn!

My boyfriend got third in the evo vs. sti heads up class .. good day for both of us!

 

My favorite part of the day was the green mirage runnings 17.xxx with 101 career wins.

The pumpkin from Turbo Trixx disappointed me, I was looking forward to that run, although the 9.0 pass was amazing.

 

the 9.0 pass was cool. but to me i think its more impressive when a car, not a gutted full out race car goes. .6 faster than Iveys full weight, all interior glass ect. goes 9.6. I find that more impressive, and did i say he is consitant with his passes?

 

they really do need to control teh races better... cause i won eliminator runner up... and drag race class winner...
yet i ran alone the whole day... so i cruised... ran a 12.8 just to find out the car had issues with it...
made it to the last round by luck... and lost to one of the fellow evo-ny dudes...
