CT- new england foliage run...
people, the test run is either october 11 or 18. I will post the meet location if anyone else is going to join us. beside kryptic and i, i do wish for another or 2 more drivers as we will need to coordinate the stops area and food venues.
the format will be as follow. depending on how the initial run turns out with the road, i will post a meet and time location on the initial thread with a list of people who are definitely going. if you want in, you reply to the thread or PM me and i'll update the list. the day before the run, i will send out PM with the maps and driving directions so if you got lost from the pack, you will know where to find us. We only have to worry about this if we have a big crowd and if we do have a big crowd, i will need the people who ran the initial run to be the lead. The time and day will be 8AM on a SUNDAY. This is to ensure no other people on the road so we can do our "spirited run" if ALLOW. The people are everyone who is an enthusiast and doesn't have to be EVO/Mitsu owner. So tell your friend, those who you think will not spoil the fun for the whole group and ask them to join us. I will try to see if we have a big parking lot at the food venue and see if they're going to hook us up with anything. Most likely no but it doesn't hurt to ask since we're bringing a lot of business to them that morning. Anyway, based on the response i got from this thread, i really do have good feeling this will turn out great. depending on how successful we are this year, i will try to continue the tradition every year after.
I started a tread on ctsub, so this is growing a bit... it seems like its going a nice outcome...
jkaky, pm me if you need anything specific. I live in Hartford so I can check some routes around here..

mirebih and bernievo, if you guys can hook up and get some background check on these hartford area roads, that would be great. avon and canton, new hartford are nice but i don't think there are too many twisty on rt44. we have the hill but it's frikin dangerous as hell to go fast through that, not to mention the cops are there ALL THE TIMES.
also will you two join me and kyriptic when we do our test run. no one has really post any real roads yet so the test run might be IT unless we found something better along the way. the schedule date is oct 26 or nov 2 for the FOLIAGE RUN. people mark your calendar so you can join us
ok that's all. thanks for everyone who's sending in ideas or suggested roads. i will take roll call weekly and update the list of attendees.

Wow, you guys are CT driving road rookies. A great spot to meet would be in West Hartford at Bishops Corner or at West Farms Mall. We can then proceed towards rt44 in Avon. Take rt44 west to rt7 south. Gotta be at least 65-70 miles of fun, high and low speed, twisty, undulating, scenic, low police activity FUN!!! My buddies and I usually ride that route several times a year. There are many side routes that extend off route 7 in South Kent. All the roads and routes in that area are awesome. Without a doubt, the northern and western part of CT has the best driving roads. I've gone into NY a few times in that area too. I've had all 4 wheels off the ground on routes in Riverton on a few occasions (not on purpose). Those roads are the reason I bought my Evo. I could give a f@$k about 500whp and drag racing. Mother nature's corners are where I live. Whether it be on 2 wheels or 4. Just make sure your car is in good running condition because out there would be the middle of nowhere. Ensure that your brakes and tires are good because you very well could crash into cliff walls. There are several locations for picture snapping opportunity. Route 202 back to 44 and that's it.
indeed I do, I'm from NY, just got to school at uha. Just running a rear plate for now though, my car didn't come with front plate bracket. Haven't seen yours on campus though, I'll keep an eye out.
