Is it bad that i took my airbox cover off? I mean the plastic cold air ram part is still on. I just undid the 4 metal clips and just popped the plastic part off. I mean the filter stills there and stays in place. I just like it better because the turbo and blow off valve are louder. This isnt hurting my car is it?

your fine. I drove around for a couple years like that until I changed to a cone filter setup. fyi, it will sound better and you'll make more power with the stock air box if you get a K&N filter instead of that stock paper filter.

Hey MULLDOG if you going to the meet I could sell you my used K&N Drop-In for $20. It was used for about 4,000 miles until I got my HKS Rs Intake.
