got a megan tbe and need a o2 bung welded in the down pipe and a hanger fixed anyone know anyone that can weld stainless steel in jersey?

 

i would just take it to a muffler shop

 

they dont weld stainless steel

 

I got my o2 housing bung welded by meineke.

 

just go to any exhaust shop. search around in ur area.

 

Sean Ivey's shop (Ivey Tech) in Linden will weld stainless for you.

They welded on my stainless steel flange for my TiAL onto my SS BR UICP.


Though it would be kind of a waste to just have that done while you are there.

 

how much they charge you ?

 

I went to a dealer and walked up to a tech and asked if he could weld my 02bung....It was 10 for non stainless wire and 15 for stainless wire. Only problem was i had to drop the DP in my driveway which is never a fun thing to do.

 

yeah i work at a dealer dropped my whole exhaust there unfortunatly our management sees no reason to have a welding machine or even a accetolene torch. takes the fun out of fixing cars

 

what part of jersey?? I know some places..

 

i live in jersey city work in montclair at the shore on the weekends(red bank area)

 

We tig weld SS and Alum. Your bung and such is easy for us to do. Call in and make an appointment to have it done.
