to the OP if your considering the AP and those other mods, then you might want to read up on the AP and what mods provide the most benefit.

cobb reported serveral times that CBE produces a greater restriction than the stock exhaust. they also haven't come up with a map for aftermarket intake or panel filter. so with your mods you'd be only able to run the stage 1 map and have issues with running too lean because of your aftermarket intake.

so my advice. if you worrying about modding and dealers, you should consider staying bone stock with the AP which can be totally uninstalled. Or. if you want to mod then consider a full turbo back setup otherwise you're just wasting your time and money and nerves.

i don't believe this was too off topic. actually it is!

The problem with 'putting it back to stock'. Many have posted pics (good closeups of mods) on here and other sites, and in their signature there is a list of mods. You can be sure there are dealers frequenting this site that are documenting some of the mods of local people-so that when/if the car comes in to be worked on and it's in stock form-they will deny your claim and have pics to back it up.
The warranty on a vehicle cannot be canceled, only a claim against it can be denied. As for dealers frequenting this website, most of us don't use any real names/photos in our profiles. They cannot "presume" you to be one of the members from a legal standpoint.

I never mentioned a bigger turbo... my point is basically if they see an intake are they going to be like "your car makes so much power it must have blown the crank into a thousand pieces" those stupid excuses dealerships sometimes use.

I don't plan on doing much, so i'll take my chances, and most of the mods are easily reversible if i need to bring it in.

Thats why as of now im 100% stock with stage 1 only...

but COBB plans on developing more maps for intakes and boost pills without a full turboback... And if they don't i would no doubt get a tune.

And for the record, i had a 400awhp '04 Sti with a big turbo water/meth... did all the work and tuning myself, so trust me, i understand the whole "lean / rich" concept...
