Help with clutch line install

What's up guys? I just wanted to know if there were any members who already installed the SS braidd clutchline flawlessly on their Evo and were willing to lend a helping hand? Also what type and brand of brake fluid is recommended when doing this install. I have no idea how to bleed brakes so this is why I'd like some assistance on doing this install. If some one in the Staten Island/NJ area is willing to help, I'll buy lunch! And if required I'll come to you.

Just a note. Make sure you keep those fluid reservoir fill up. It takes me an hours to find out this. The clutch reservoir is very small.

Bleeding will be easy. Either a 2 person job or get a brake bleed tools for 1 person job.

Good luck.

Where did you guys get the SS line? I'm looking at the $59 ones from lancershop.com. Know any cheaper places?

Is there no one in the Northeast that would be willing to help me install this line and remove my restrictor? If you want a little money I'm more than willing to do so, I just require help from somone who really knows what they are doing, please.

Can you explain how you did it and what tools you used, and did you also remove the restrictor? I can't believe no one in the NE is able to help. I don't wanna bring it to a mechanic cuz they don't know what they are doing.

If you lived around MA area, I can help you. But you a bit far from me.

Tools need to replace the clutch cable is socket 10mm & 12mm, wrench 17mm, plier, brake bleed tool and brake fluid. Removed the battery and battery tray. Removed the clutch cable. (simplify version)

As for clutch restrictor, you need a 14mm socket, brake bleed tool and brake fluid. Loose the banjo bolt on the clutch slave cylinder. Try to reach the restrictor from the clutch slave cylinder. You might need a small screwdriver to pick out the spring and restrictor (plastic). Mount everything back and bleed the clutch.

Good luck. All instruction is on the forum. Do a search and you can find more detail.

Do a search on "clutch restrictor" You find the answer.

There is many speculation. For bad or good is still unknown. But for anyone familiar with DSM G2, you know the mod for removing clutch restrictor.

I removed it and found my clutch engagement is much for better. No more slipping.
