Dealer help in Ma.?
Bill, Vachon mitsu is good, I dealt with them before, they are a small dealership compare to other dealership so to make a sale, they are willing to take chances, btw they are also a RMR dealer(donno if they still are). Don't take the fact that Boch doesn't let you test drive the ar so seriously, you know what you are buying. And since the release of evo until couple of month ago, its hard to find a dealer to let you test drive without a deposit. Anyways, I've been a boch customer since my GSX days and I do like their service alot(They are very high in the customer ratings). Anyways, give them a chance and see if you are happy with their work or not, or you can always become a DIY guy

Hey guys,
First, maybe we can all get together and install my SAFC II when I get it
.
Back on topic, I bought my car at Boch. I went back with ~600 miles to get my Lojack installed, and also told them about my dreaded decel noise. I also asked for an alignment. Car was not pulling either way, but I wanted to make sure it was in spec.
The service manager (Dennis?) was very cool, and at first he resisted, telling me it didn't need an alignment. I persisted and he agreed to do one once under warranty.
Regarding the decel noise, he drove my car and had the senior tech drive it as wekk and agreed that there was some sort of decel noise. As he said, it is a learning experience for them as well since the car is new. Per recommendation on evolutionm.net, I asked to start a case at Mitsu so it would be on record. He had already done it. He also changed the tranny fluid and stated that it looked good.
I was very pleased with the treatment I got. I did not get the runaround and they were honest. The icing was that he and I started chatting as I was getting ready to leave. He told me that he was a muscle car guy and he was telling me about his 11 second domestic. He was a real enthusiast and also impressed by what these little 4 bangers could do. In fact, one of the employees' brothers had a 12 second 20G GSX. He told me that I now have the decel noise on record when my car has 600 miles, so I should go out and enjoy my car and if there are any problems or fixes, I will be all set even if it's much later.
Sorry for the novel!
Take care,

The installation was far easier than I thought.......maybe its because chinalfr did most of the work ........or maybe its because I had the field harness. We sat in the house and setup the harness and simply plug it into the ECU. I think the harness is soo worth the money, you can install all of your piggybacks/boost controller/tt etc in the harness and not damage the ECU wiring.....
No problemo. Glad to help.
Make sure to get those ECU harness. The extra $140 investment will worth it. Trying to splice those wiring under the passenger side glove compartment will be an very challenging.
Plus, with the harness, you can return everything back to stock in just minutes.

SAFC is a piggy back computer to control your car air/fuel. With this ability, you can control your car to run richer (more fuel, less air) or leaner (more air/less fuel). For engine, you always want to find those sweet spot (best air/fuel ratio).

Actually, finding the sweet spot is almost impossible without dyno tuning, thats why you see in alot people's sig it says safc tuned by pruven or some other tuner. There are setting maps out there for you to try, the setting are really depended on your mods. I have a SAFC I and air filter, I find Bushuar setting are pretty good. But unless you get on a dyno and tune for max HP, you won't find the 'sweet spot'.
So in stock configuration are the factory settings the best? I understand with mods, but how many mods or much would it be worth while to invest in such products?
Also who does an all wheel dyno tune in this area?
