Honestly, someone at either HIN or New England Dragway should be fired for total lack of preparation in regard to weather, and the utter chaos that ensued in the mud laden parking lot.
The show started off fine, but by 7:30 the clouds were moving in. Rain drops started to fall, and throngs of people stormed towards the exits. By 8 it was a torrential downpour with spectators hiding under the bleachers in a pathetic attempt to keep dry. Those that dared make the nearly mile long walk through the mud found nothing but the traffic jam from hell. I was literally stuck in my car for almost an hour unable to move an inch, and nowhere was anyone guiding us out. FWD cars were getting stuck in the six inches of mud (and considering cars were getting stuck in the mud before the event began this was not surprising). Having AWD I got through it more or less unscathed, but overall this was an absolute ****ing nightmare.
I know it won't do any good but I'm voicing my opinions to the folks at NE Dragway and HIN for an absolute mess of a show. A little preparation on their part, especially in terms of parking, could have prevented the standstill that resulted. And now, after half a show, they have our money and I have no idea if anyone won anything.
Anyone else experience this catastrophic failure of a show?

Oh I know lol but I paid my 30 bucks and wasn't about to leave a no re-entry event without a fight. My gf saw everyone leaving at the first sign of clouds, called them pussies, and well after that I had to stay lol I'm glad I did cus I saw lots more racing, but ultimately paid the price.
The rain, mud, and total lack of direction in the parking field ("lot" my ***) left a very bad taste in my mouth. Hell, even before the event began the parking attendants put cars so close behind me I couldn't even back out! I just had to hope they were gone at the end of the night! Little did I know how much worse it would be when I did leave...

we got lucky, i saw the big black clouds + the wind. Also the weather channel said it will be thunder storms that night.
So we packed like 5 minutes and left . I did not see anyone that time to leave so i thought we might did a wrong decision. But 10 minutes later i was a happy camper
Sorry to hear your trouble though, and you are right about the lack of planning from HIN in this case .
