3200/6month.....crazy...oh yeah and i'm under my parent's policy..

i feel really bad since they're just wasting too much money my insurance you know....6400 for a year...so..i've been thinking
lately that i should get rid of the car and get something else
that would save them some money
right now i'm 19 years old with 2pts on license can anyone magically GUESS what my policy's gonna cost w/ evo????
any comment is welcomed

Wow. How do you pay that? I would take the bus and refuse to pay that crazy amount. You have to leave that god awful state. Been there, left, never looked back. I'm paying about $490 for 6 months out here in Las Vegas which is know to also have high insurance rates. I'm over 25, but still. What you pay a month is higher than my car payment. i'm assuming the Evo will be just as high, if not higher. But, hey, what do I know. I left there 12 years ago.

Wow. Good luck on that. You might as well save the 8-10k in insurance that you will be paying on the evo and buy a used car for that much.

I am 22 and pay 3200 (per year) under my own policy for the Evolution. iam looking at other policy's as i know i can probably get 2500.

im 19 and i pay around 4000 per year for a lancer though. so if you plan on getting the evo, expect to pay twice as much or maybe even 3 times as much.. new jersey blows big time, so their insurance rates are high because our state has the highest theft rate in america. now you know why geico or progressive doesn't wanna deal with us

Actually, jersey isn't that bad. I pay less than you and my car is a high performance car under insurance lingo. Just find other insurance agencies. Some offer a mulitple care discount.

I mean christ my father pays 1600 for a camaro ss. Age in jersey plays a huge factor on things and having a decent income job would offset the higher insurance quotes.

All in all some things to keep in mind:
As a teenager you'll always pay more, especially under your own policy.
Remove those points
Wait until you are older
Get a good job

good luck.

If you want the car, a good job is going to help offset the insurance. I am just saying in his case, a good job would help him out. Of course there are other bills to be paid, but generally speaking that much insurance, you best have a good job. My examples were not suppose to be technically correct, just assumed in a case like his.

New Jersey Manufacturers. You have to work for a member company, but if you get in your rates will be the lowest of any other company in NJ.

the closer you live to the city the more expensive it is... also goes for people living near paterson....(paramus) because they come from paterson and steal all the vech. from the mall and surrounding areas..... f'ing thievs.... they should cut there hands off like they do in saudi if they are caught

I'm assuming hat it will cost you ore to own an evo, since they have more HP then your bmr.
