Here it is guys. And its back, better than ever. We are looking for the same support and even a better showing of cars this year. And ALL are invited, 1g, 2g, GVR4, Colts, Evos, whatever.

I'm starting this early again so we have ample time to work out what we want to do this year. I know people showed interest in possibly going to a dyno or track, in addition to the traditional meet/cookout. I think Ridley Park has worked out well for the past 2 years, so unless someone has a better idea, we'll plan on going there again. It's nice having the seclusion from others, as well as the grills, pavilions, restrooms, etc.

So, please voice your opinion on a place, time, date, and any activities you want to do. Also, please post up if you'll be attending and I'll add you to the list in this post.

I'm shooting for the end of July (24th or 31st) so we are not so close to the Showdown/Shootout weekends this year. If I need to adjust this because of one of these events, I will, but as of right now I don't expect any conflicts.

I'll make sure to keep everyone updated and reminded when the date approaches. I made it out last year and had a great time. Would love to have my DSM finished and in attendance, but at this rate it ain't happening.

 

It was great meeting you and seeing your Evo VII. Damn clean and nice looking, and I can't wait to see it again!

I hope to meet some new people this year too!

Thank you, the car has had a few more things done to it since then and looks a lot better now imo. Hopefully by the time this meet comes around i'll have a few other planned out projects finished up. I saw a lot of people taking pictures that day, wish i could have found the ones of my car to add to my collection.

I can recommend a good place for a dyno day in lansdale if you go that route, and the track is the track, same old deal. I think we should stick to a BBQ hang out like last year. We can all meet at the Showdown at Etown for a track event if needed.
Dyno days are cool to but i wouldn't base it for the big NE meet. To many car break the day before, and the day drags on at dyno events occasionally if not set up rite so i think we should have one but not base the big summer time meet after it.

 

ill be possibly in , have to see if i have enough money for the shootout in august though..

I agree that those options are probably not the best/easiest for the meet. I just left it open since a decent amount of people last year mentioned it. I haven't seen anyone want either this year, so as of right now, Ridley is still on.

I think once we get closer to the Showdown we could arrange a meet there as well!


This meet won't cost too much money (just something for the cookout is all typically), so hopefully that shouldn't play too much into keeping you away.

 

ill be there for it this year. i couldnt make it last year cuz im still here in the desert, but i will be there for it again. is it gonna be in that same spot in the back lot area from 2 years ago.

 

As of right now, yes. I like that lot because of the space, shade, big picnic area, etc. I believe that's the biggest lot they have that has some good shade.

 

ya, was a good spot. plus all that grass, let alone the lot size, even if both go full u have the grass on the other side of the road.

 

Well, someone got a ticket last year for parking in the grass (even though it was temporary so they could unload their car), so that's not allowed.

I've only seen 2 or 3 people have any issues with the date, and no one has complained about the location, so I think it's safe to confirm it.

wanna bring this back to the top, so BUMP. for some reason i thought the date was june 1st. didnt think i would have it back on the road by then. but july 31 sounds good as of now. as of now 4 will be fallowing up.
