^Be careful on those tires. That doesn't sound like an ideal situation.

dude, i would seriously consider investing in some snows ... even cheap ones.

265 Z1's might be borderline undrivable in the snow. Let us know how it goes.

Ben, whats up with your flight classes? what sort of plane do you use? I haven't flown in years, when do you think you'll have your license?

are z1s even rated for snow? freezing temps and a soft summer tire could equal kaboom too.

Its funny you mention this, i have many people since tuning wrx's complain to others that my tunes have broken their tranny. IMO If the tranny breaks, i did my job right

im down in northern VA/DC area now. no Z1s are not rated for snow/ice or freezing conditions. I had been looking for a nice set of snows on some stockers but every deal I thought I had fell through. I am still looking, but I think snows on 9.5 wide wheel would be tough. need to find something tho, nice ideal at all.

its funny, everyone in the office is freaking out about driving but they all have SUVs, me and my buddy whose got a boosted g35 on 285 re-11s are like, yup eff it cant drive. I may just leave the car overnight in the garage and hop a ride home.

still snowing, but can ski. turbotrixray, im jealous.

Probably a Cesna 152. The flight school has two 152's, two 172's and a Piper Warrior. The nicest plane is one of the 172's. It's a '98 172R. It has a larger engine and it is fuel injected. I'll probably start with a 152, but I'll more than likely fly all of them eventually. I didn't end up flying today, but I'll be going to Smoketown (Lancaster) and back tomorrow.

My goal is to get my Solo in 50 hours. Hopefully I'll be able to complete that first rating by early spring.

is there a plane in the familliy? you plan to buy one? or are you going to rent seat time from a local club?

my grandpop keep trying to talk me into buying a plane. I would love to play with his 1920's J4, but alas my uncle has it.

Do that, and bring your G35 buddy with you. Those cars suck in the snow with OEM size tires, 285mm RE-11's. Forget it.
