It has for the last 2yrs since I went to Cecil... never thought it would have held on this long. My clutch and flywheel have been sitting around forever just waiting to go in.

 

I told you no launches! Aggressive starts would surely put a hurtin on it though, your right.

 

I think daily driving does more damage than track to be honest. I do so much highway driving, I already commit to the fact that it will be damaged.

 

Daily driving a twin disc may not be to good for clutch life, they do not like traffic stop and starting. Nothing kills a clutch like a good hard launch though. Pete you should just switch clutch out, not worth loosing a day at the track you paid good $ to be at. Its inevitable your clutch has to be on its last leg. I say that assuming you get some slippage in gears and your previous description of it being "weak". I cost myself $ when I decided to keep driving the car last year when we were getting locked out of first gear. Basically more $ in Exedy clutch rebuild parts and I wasted my 6 speed trans. If you have the parts just bite the bullet and get it done, will save you grief down the road and possibly $.

 

I think you were getting two discussions confused, I was talking about my clutch while Chu is talking about his new front bumper.

Clutch holds fine, just a softer in the pedal.

 

My twin disc feels funny. I'm told to launch it. I'm going to see how it feels after this trackday first.

very jealous of all you guys. sounds like a great time. i am moving in 2 weeks so i have literally no money after that and the gun purchase. all worth it, hopefully get some days in with you guys this summer! I want to drive/ride with marc, get some thoughts and learn the lines.
