yeah i knew they were having problems but spec was skeptical it was a clutch issue. I can surely say had i left it in there it would have failed.

Yeah i drove eric's setup and black sti steve's. He had an organic disc. I think the 6 puck should hold whatever i throw at it and the HD pressure plate i remember being great for daily driving. Hopefully it all works out. Next step, working a refund from spec.

Steve (beavis) how did you break in your clutch. I am reading: "ACT race discs usually only require a few hard slips to lap in the surfaces prior to normal driving or racing. Do not overheat the clutch during the break in period." I just slip it a few times then beat the crap out of it?

i just slipped it a few times driving in 2nd or 3rd gear, cruise then clutch in, rev, and release giving some cool down between each one. then a few hard launches and it was good to go.

Well, at least clutch installs are the easiest thing to do on an Evo

I feel your pain.

Feel free to misplace my phone number when you begin that endeavor, haha. Gotta come see the garage, quite spacious now. Even with 4 Craftsman roll-away toolboxes and a double wide Snap-On box in a sinlge car garage

I moved enough DSM parts from the garage to the basement to probably build 3 cars,Brian is a pack-rat for sure. Carrying a 1G AWD transmissions down a flight of stairs.....not so fun.
