FACT: More people die each year by falling in their bathtub than they do street racing. Statistically, its not that dangerous. You just have to be smart about where and when you do it. If you do it in a crowded neighborhood and decide to accelerate through 4th gear, well, you are an idiot and shouldnt have a license. If you are on a low-traffic highway and don't go beyond 4th, I'd say the odds are pretty low that anything would happen. There are risks in everything, just keep logic in mind when making a decision to help prevent disaster.

Only if the tracks are cheap enough for the kids to go there without having to joining a club and register 10000 years before track day and bla bla bla.
Every track should operate like Nurburgring. Drive there, pay a little fee and enjoy!

A large pothole or blow out at 100+ impedes your straight line rather fast. Not to mention the cop that you either slam on your brakes, or floor the gas for(this was the case in this instance).
