^ I agree i got two quotes both from reputable shops one seemed reasonable the other seemed a bit wild. The gauge price looks wild 3 hrs- 4 hrs for gauges... Its just an intercooler not the LICP and the UICP is already done so its just take off the bumper and old intercooler and put it on 3 hrs time im guessing they are saying at $125 an hr? I dunno i may just head to the other shop or if the other forum member is up for it i may go that route. I would like to do it myself my last major install was about 2 yrs ago when i turbocharged my rx8.

Maybe i just dont value my time like others do when it comes to cars i dunno lol.

Full exhaust, downpipe back is about $750

Intercooler with piping is about $350

Install & wire gauges...2 gauges about $450-$550 (O2 pending install/welding
possible)

Wire muffler to switch for open/close $150-$200
install the tp and cb yourslef and you'll save some money there

install that yourself, its easy

they look simple to do but pay the extra to have it done right

wtf is that?

Yeah, we have done that cut out install for a Ferrari here at the shop. Both bypass valves hooked up to a remote module.

I prefer the hardwire ones myself since the batteries in the remotes could go dead,LOL

They are that bad unfortunately and I live close to the station. I also live in a complex and don't want to be the guy waking everyone up at 530 in the morning warming up the car.

what station do you live near? I lived in spring valley all my life and never got harrased for something like an exhaust. Only twice have I been stopped and that was by clarkstown pd for tinted windows. Needless to say I dont have tinted windows anymore. As long as you dont drive around like a douche then you already know they have their hands full trying to clean up that dump of a town. As for waking people up in the morning I agree with you on that, you dont want to **** the wrong guy off and wake up to 4 flats or worse lol.

I live in Pomona near haverstaw when i had my turbo charged rx8 i got pulled over on the regular never a ticket just an extreme hassle when trying to start your day off right and go to work. Maybe it was noticeably loud due to the rotary sound and the 3 inch exhaust . It was never for reckless driving or anything like that, i had no tinted windows. Overall just not trying to go down that road again and also wanted a unique 3" exhaust. Maybe a bit paranoid too lol

I'd say an rx8 is a bit more flashy then an Evo X. What color was it? red? lol
