I'm from Miami, and i want to buy used evo from a member in NJ area but i was wondering if anybody can help me located a shop specialize evo, so i can get the car checked.

compression test and general inspection, stuff like transfer case, fill me in on usual problematic areas for evo 8.

i'm hoping to join the community so please help me out guys!

well ivey would be the place to take it from what i have read on evom. i have never been there before but have been hearing about him since before i even had an evo.

Do you have pics of the car, or the memeber's screen name? Chances are, some people know the car! I know soem Jersey Evos pretty well!

 

Where in NJ is the car located? Knowing where it is will help us recommend a shop that is close to the car.

I know him have the car taken to Iveytune its 45 min away from were hes located. He also knows a place called ATX closer to him im sure he can arrange something.

 

He told me he got the work done at ATX, so if I can't be there in person to see the test myself, I rather get second opinion from reputable shop.
What is recommended inspection other than compression and transfer case.

What is there to check on the transfer case besides checking the oil, leaks, and driveshaft slop...Without taking it apart? Nothing I can think of

 

I would get the Paramus Mitsu dealer do a full PPI. If you wanted a real checklist.

But Ivey would be your best bet for the closeest Evo specialty shop.
