Englishtown NJ's Raceway park is holding their 8th annual mitsu and evo vs. subaru and wrs-sti day on october 15 from 10am to 5pm. Ive never been to the previous ones and was just wondering what type of show that is? like a judged car show? Drag? or auto x?
breif description of what goes down that day would be awesome, thanks

 

more of a drag then anything not really show.mostly everyone goes there to drag their cars.

 

It's fun. Evos won most races last time, but in the end a Subie was the fastest of the day.

i have been to many of them and its a great time. lots of fast cars mostly evos.

Well actually the Evos were the fastest... It was 'bracket-racing' (?), which means it's not the fastest who wins but whoever gets as close to their dial-in time without being faster than it.

This is why Team Mitsubishi lost, because the Evos were going all out... eventually someone explained the rules but it was too late by then. We were outnumbered lol.. You can check out the vid on youtube where the announcer explained it.

There is a course where you can drift but that's a separate track and event. Last year as we were coming into the show, I saw a Silvia drifting on the course. :-) a very nice sight...

 

Ill be out there on saturday runnin my car in the evo bracket class. Last year my brothers laser won the dsm stock appearing class tho it was a limited field one dude was trapping 140mph claiming to be stock so i dunno. Anywho always a good event lots of evos and some dsms and galants. Should be a good outing

 

BUMP for the event tomorrow... guess there will be no cruising to the event but hope to see some guys who were at the East MOD there tomorrow.. bring your t-shirts, bags, and other Mitsu gear to send a message to Sub drivers lol

 

Can't wait to see some Evo's whoopin up on those subies!
