I need to do my tranny oil but the dealers will not sell it to me with out the service. Can you guys recomend a good dealer that uses OEM oils and does a clean pro. job.

May be a dealer that loves EVOs. They have to be out there.

Thanks
ERic

eric -

i know it's a haul for you, but healey brothers mitsu in goshen, ny is awesome - they just did all my fluids and my tranny is perfect now - no hard shifts when it's cold - no grinding - makes it look like i know how to drive now - nick and jason are the evo techs that love the car - they are "mod friendly" there - give me a shout if you need directions -

Eric,
I would think your friends at Turbotrix can get you Redline/Royal Purple, etc and certainly can do it for you if you don't want to do the job yourself. I think Rory or someonelse at one of the meets had them change their tranny fluids.

With out getting into a large technical explanation on why I want oem fluid. Syns like redline and RP require friction modifiers to sustain long syncro life. Now yes the oil has longer change intervals but the Syncro performance will hurt over time. So I rather just use OEM oils or Castrol witch is not sold in the US anyway for the gear box. And I can do the changes my self that's not a problem. The dealers require I do the service throw them for the OEM oils.

That is insane, isn't that why they have parts departments! Anyway, good luck with the search.

Yes it is. They get it in large 50gal jugs and will not sell me it in L.

They suck.
