Who do you tune with?
Who do you tune with?
Hey guys just looking for a reputable tuner around the central pa area if possible. Everybody I seem to talk to wants to use their parts and not a supplied list of parts I don't know why this is perhaps because they are familiar with their own parts or because they.want to make a sale but im looking for a company to do a build/parts installation/ dyno run/ and a tune of the parts I supply. Anyone know of any? Also throw up your numbers I'm curious to see what kind of power everyone is throwing down. I'll post up a list of what I need done in a few days. Thanks guys
I just drove 2 hours to get my turbo upgraded to BBK Full by CBRD. If i lived up that way they'd be doing all of my work and tuning, no question.
But you're nearly as far away from them as I am, so I see your problem. But if I didn't already have an installer/tuner that I like and trust I'd just suck it up and go to York at least for the important stuff like installs and tuning.

@ tscomp I'm at 16602 about 2/12 or 3hrs away from you.
The driving away isn't as big a deal to me as finding a place that will install the parts list I have and not recommend their own.parts in place of mine bc problem is I already have most of my parts purchased no turning back now thanks guys

you'd be better off in the long run doing what CBRD or TSCOMP say and selling whatever they recommend you sell, IMO. garbage in/garbage out as the saying goes.

Not sure about TSComp, but I'm pretty sure that CBRD has tuned many different Evos using various different combinations of parts.
I know they build some of their own parts, and probably have their favorites otherwise.. but they should be able to work with most anything you bring them.
You can just PM Chad and ask him yourself, if he doesn't pop in here and respond first..

i dont care what parts you install, but if you have something that could potentially bottleneck your setup i will advise you of it and let you choose your own direction..
i like all manufacturers equally, i dont push just 1 brand on anybody.. if it works i use it.. take my personal car for example.
it has maperformance parts, it has buschur racing parts, it has forced performance parts, it has muse parts, it has forge, kelford, cobb, aem, kiggly, perrin,
and the list goes on and on.. if it works use it, i dont care about brand names as long as the parts perform well.
Great job
Wasn't trying to insinuate anything at all.. just that I've seen/read about several different dyno tunes by CBRD that involved mixed & matched parts the customer already had installed.
Just didn't want to speak on your behalf, since I didn't have the slightest clue if you did the same.

ETA: Just wondering.. do you do in-shop dyno tunes & installation or just email tunes?

we simply dont like to mix and match parts for shortblock or longblock builds- if we are providing an engine we recommend using the parts we suggest-
we will install a longblock/shortblock that someone else assembles for us-
we have tuned quite a few evos
and have been doing so since 2007-
we also have an AWD mustang dyno cell for accurate tuning and testing-

pm me the parts you're interested in installing and we can go from there or email at sales@tscomptuned.net
