Meny Problems with that.

New houses being built and the Owners are fighting to keep it closed and never alowed to be finished. Nosie Level is thier beef.

Houses in that area were VERY CHEAP and now they have new developments and charging in the 500K for starters. So upper level mid class familes are moving in and don't want there property value to go down because the race track is so close.

Next time your down Taxes road you will see all the trees leveled for new homes.

It's really sad that people have to fight things like this tooth and nail. It's just like those people that move near an airport and complain about airplane noise. Just move away! Don't expect the township to be on the side of the raceway when there's a sizable amount of property tax income at stake.

People complain when they see kids racing on the highway or on a back road, but then won't permit a place for people to race safely and legally? How hypocritical.

How much would adding a road course increase noise anyway? I would suspect not by much.

Absolutely ridiculous, you move next to a track that's ben around for decades and expect it to be quiet? Can't the tri-state area have at least one road course where people can get out the crazy stress this area creates?

Exactly what I wanted to say.

And not that I feel like driving for 6h just to make a few laps around the track.

RACEWAY PARK ROAD COURSE
Raceway Park is happy to announce that we have recently received FINAL APPROVAL for the Raceway Park ROAD COURSE.
There are still many small details to hammer out but all are minor in nature.
We are guessing completion for late Summer 2004. We are not ready to schedule anything at the time.
Please key an eye on our website for information as it becomes available.
We will send out another e-mail to those on our HOTLINKS electronics mailing list with plenty of notice for scheduling information.
We have received FINAL APPROVAL This track will be separate from all other tracks at Raceway Park.
Did you guys see this further down the page?

Definitely a big plus for Etown but I doubt it'll be finished this season.
