I just bought my EVO about three weeks ago and have taken it back several times to have the drivers seat fixed. Everytime they tell me it has been fixed but the clamp keeps poping off. I have to push it back into place everytime I get into the car. I think I am going to request a new seat.

You can request the dealer to do this or you can do it yourself:

The plastic clamp that you are referring to kept popping off on my EVO also. I ended up shooting a little clear silicone caulking adhesive in the groove of the plastic clamp and reassembled it. Let it set up overnight and you will no longer have the problem. It keeps popping off whenever the seat bolsters are compressed, which creates too much 'slack' in the clamp is sewn to.

good luck

That is a good idea. I will have to try that. Thanks for the reply.

Thumbs up

Put a little silicon last night in the clamp and it worked like a champ. No more problems with the seat!
