Crazy how many people helped us in the pit for Tour. We had a gas mishap (my fault no gas for Aarons 2nd run on first day, totally screwed him and feel really bad about it btw) because I was out of my routine. We normally do everything and no one helps, all the help must have made me lose track of my responsibilities. It is my fault I did not organize our peoples helping us and mentally lapsing on the fuel. We also had a #'s mishap that luckily my man Marshall Grice noticed before I got scanned to run. That would have been a DSQ for that run and probably would have thru me off my game. What a crazy experience, thinking back without all the help cooling tires first day of tour and then keeping tires warm and aired up on 2nd day, it would have been really difficult to do all that with just Aaron and I. I know for next year we designate responsibilities. I helped alot of people too during Pro and Tour, going to make sure we clearly define who is doing what so we work as a team. Always learning at these events, so many new things every year. This year though I learned more about car set up than the previous 3 put together. I am already excited to try again next year with a way better car.

Aint a game!

Mad respect for that much commitment for autox. I could never commit to that much for little seat time.

We drove at total of 44 hours to drive 18 runs in competition and 8 practice course runs. We also used 8 tires LOL were a little crazy I guess. Hard to explain the attraction to you guys who have not been there. The fact that we are competing against the best in the country, the partying and hanging out makes it all the best experience. I wish I could convince some of you to come next year. I promise you would have an amazing time.

Team Shoeberg. I'm 90% on going to Lincoln next year, I was 50/50 this year to co-drive but couldn't go. My teammate will probably be towing with this if we have at least 3 cars going from our team(just a group of guys). It would be my first time out there. So if I'm out there I can help ya'll

Some pictures of the car on course I have found tonight:

Car is tripodding like a ****, never does that at home. We have work to do on that car, must goto Spring Nationals next year to really dial in the suspension. I think we would have faired alot better with some more time to sort the handling out. Car needs to be dropped, can't wait. Funny how much potential this car has, its better than the $140,000 GTR I beat LOL now handling not so good, imagine when we get this thing right.

i used to drive 2-3 hours to do autox, that was before i started to track. but after one track day, i was hooked. if the national autox event was a few hours away, i would do it. the national course does look fun. we also have the competition, the comradery, the after hour party at the track. we compete against paid professional drivers that race in Pro series. some of their car trailers cost more than my house and all my cars together, and we compete in the same class. i know you're a competitive guy, once you start to competing at the track, you'll love it as much as autox (if it's financially feasible)

Nice photos, Mike & Arron. I like how the wheel color complements the cones, lol.

I haven't done anything close to like what you described, but I still can't fathom all that travel, prep & cost for such a small amount of actual seat time. Different strokes, I guess...

Do you guys think audi's make good track cars? I'm considering this at a project car. I'm thinking vinyl wrap will take car of the paint issues.

I other news: the used car market is so completely screwed up anymore. It's sucks. Josh was telling me about trading in his wife's car and how KBB, nada and whatever the dealership uses all had very different numbers. It's like people are just making up prices for used cars and there is no standard anymore.

Look at this. 10-15 years ago a car like this would have sold for $500-700.

Pointless post but whatever....

several things have happened to boost used car market to where it is today:

1 - Price of gas makes gas sippers higher valued in the used market
2 - Increasing costs for newer vehicles are making used vehicles more attractive to shoppers
3 -
