I just had to post in TSE. Watch me get either deleted or asked to make an intro thread then watch me ignore it.

TSE is god awful! Nice post though, Mr. Politician.

Ok, I'll start a thread in TST. Give me a few minutes. I'll have to reword a few things.

i was going to say...i thought T6 was a full Synthetic, thanks Pete.

so no one has run it in the evo with any consistancy? its super cheap, and seems like a good oil. better than M1 and way cheaper than amsoil or eneos. i may try it out for the cold weather.

and yea marc, thats all he runs in his gts2 M3 and loves it. he finally blew a head gasket so were pulling the motor and tranny this weekend and we'll check the road bearings etc to see if the oil was doing what its supposed to. but considering he almost always wins (bastard), I guess its good. He's got 16k track miles so far, 130k on the chassis.

getting a gmc 2500 HD crew cab long bed so I wont need a truck bc I can borrow his. but hes got a silver e36 M3 black top convi but its auto. picked it up for a steal and is going to sell it fully up to maintenance spec, tires, wheels etc. Was a really fun car to AutoX. Even better when/if he does a manual swap, just taking up space in the garage.

thanks guys. happy work from home Wed

Its not any cheaper than M1. Rotella comes in a 1gal jug. 1 Gallon = 4 quarts. You need 4.5 or 5 quarts to do an oil change in the Evo.

Also, who ever said it was better? Pure speculation...

why you fool cheaping out on oil. it cost you $40 to fill up a gas tank every week. or $200 of gas a weekend at the track. and you can't spend $20 more for good oil that you change 2-3 times a year. that's retard monkey move. i tell Tim B the same **** all the time when he says there's no difference between walmart brand syn vs Amsoil. why risk it for $20. it's not like you change oil every week.

Pete, its much cheaper than M1. M1 is like $8/qt... sometimes you can get it on sale for $6ish or maybe even better than that. I think I saw some Black Friday sales where it was $4.99/qt, but that is very hard to find. Guys were buying stores out when they heard about it.

As far as 'better', I agree with you, its subjective.

In the spring and summer, Autozone usually has a sale on M1, where you can get 5qts + M1 filter for $27, and $35 for the extended life. This is the time when I usually buy up. All of the cars in my family use M1, so I buy a lot when this sale goes on. I used M1 in the Evo for a long time, but switched to Amsoil 10w40 high zinc due to a much higher ZDDP package over the M1. If its possible to use M1 motorcycle oil in our engines, I would.
