In other news... spent an hour at the urgent care facility last night. While working on the UDM the control arm/disc brake shield swung around and nailed me in the head. put a nice sized cut on meh. Thankfully it wasn't deep enough to require stitches, but it sure did bleed like a ****. $50 for the visit and $4.55 for the Tylenol 3 and I was back in the garage by 8:30 finishing up. Couldn't let that bish beat meh. I think the car is trying to kill me though, I've never had so much trouble working on anything in my life.

That's what I thought. They are really reaching. I don't spend $500/month to maintain the two daily driven cars at my house.

Your pos daily driver is not even worth $500 even with new tires. They are comparing to an average car which is probably in the mid $30k

Says the guy who told me "these things are so easy to work on, even YOU could do some of this work yourself." The you part was derogatory towards my wrenching skills (lack of in this case)

Hope the gash wasn't too bad Marc, get that bish ready.

My wife's car is mid $30s, retard. Even if I changed the oil every month I still wouldn't be spending $500/month.

My DD is still worth $4k private party and $7k retail in "fair" condition. That's f^ck up. I wouldn't buy it with someone else's money.

come on, that was the EVO I was talking about. Basic maintenance is pretty simple and the car is well thought out for wrenching, its not too bad. Where I ran into the most trouble was: 1) pressing bushings in and out cause I didn't have the correct bwm specific tools and tried to make my own and 2) getting broke/not usable parts from a**hats in the classifieds. Those two things are what kicked my butt on this project. I've done much harder things mechanically, but this has been the biggest PITA out of any car related project I've ever done. I told cupcake he better take his ish to a shop when it comes time to do his car cause I ain't touching it wif a 10' pole.

This was the first time anything like this (having a car related injury) has happened to me. I just keep telling myself that the amount of seat time I'll get in one year will be more than all the time I spend wrenching and it keeps me going.
