^ took me two months to get my tranny back from TRE and that was mid season, like june last year. they are usually more busy during off season or beginning of season.

yeah im not willing to do leave the car sitting at a shop that long. TRE lists exchange, but who knows. I guess im just gonna have to drive it easy. also need to find a shop that doesn't charge $800 for clutch job.

Nate I had mine rebuilt over the winter due to 5th gear synchro going bad. I used Jacks. It was about a 3 week turn around, over all the car was down for about 6weeks. I didn't do the removal or install, I had friends do it at their shop. It sat in storage when they weren't working on it.. It sucked then, but I'm happy now.

In the mean time double clutch that bish, mine wouldn't grind if I did that.

jacks says they do $1500 core exchange on their site. Im 99% sure its just syncro wear so id expect to get the majority of a core charge back. I sent my first email to TRE so ill see if i can get ahold of him within the next month.

i can still play with the clutch adjustment a tad too. guess im just gonna have to go back to shifting like a girl LOL

Your synchro is shot, adjusting the clutch ain't gonna do di(k, neither is changing the fluid. In my experience, once it goes bad, it's done. I've had it happen twice, I'm on my 3rd 5th gear synchro if you count the original one.

oh i absolutely agree. but at the same time, the clutch was never adjusted a long the way to account for the 60k of wear. so this was caused/complicated by a clutch that was definitely not fully disengaging. it has gotten slightly better each time i adjust it a half turn.

Whats up with almost all of Schattenbaums events being on Thurs and Fri... weak!

Anyone want to run Doad with Trackdaze in mid May? I might do that event and the NJMP event they have in June.

Working yet again on Sunday morning. Thankfully I'm only here until noon.
