Thats awesome!

It seems when you get past a certain grip level with these Evo's it makes the diff's freakout or something, like the car spaz's out. You totally have to change your driving style to drive around the problem. It takes away from what Evo's do best, digging out of a corner and putting the power down.

I think all our suspension issue's are from the larger size HoHo's (Thai maybe your aero and HoHo's are causing that grip level and wheel hop). The increased grip and longer suspension travel from larger tire size really screws things up. Its almost like the rear of the car needs to have less grip to allow the rear of car to move and flow with the front.

I want to run 285's and then the 315's to prove if I am right or wrong. I liked the car better on 285's from last year to this year. I think the 315's can be the better set up, but we are still chasing down the right settings to make the car right.
most track that we go to have about the same grip level on tarmac. except glen where they have concrete patch at the turns. i was getting rear hop at turn 1 at Lightning last week, more noticeable than before. and i've gotten hop at pocono exit the infield onto the oval. it seems to happen more tight right hand turns, but most track we go to are clockwise, so more right turns anyways.

you can see in the vid at 2:30 mark, the rear hop as i'm on power exiting. this was from last weekend at lighting. i don't think i'm loosing that much speed because i stay on the throttle and the front wheels just pull the car forward. it does unsettle the car and makes it track out farther. if it didn't happen, then i can probably carry more speed through the turn and not worry about it tracking out farther from the hop. i also think it has to do with the max lock rear diff, with one rear wheel being off the ground (or low traction). like you get wheel hop on those karts with solid rear axle and no diff. btw, i'm running 275/35/18 A6. i don't notice it with street tires.

I'm talkin to all chu guyz.

Me, Thai, Pete and Cupcake can instruct. Justin might be able to instruct too, but I have to ask him.

Last year was a pretty good time. I think we had around 15 or so people there. Trackdaze always puts on a good event with lots of track time for a decent price.
may be able to swing this.

Dood...take a few minutes and torque'em...I had done the same thing as you. There is a crush washer in there that take what feels like more force than they need to crush.

Yep...was going to text you to see when we can connect to get them back.

I am running the NGK BKR6EIX (ngk6418 on my site)...they are the same plugs as the 2.0L WRX so we always have them in stock.

When I install plugs, I use a breaker bar and torque them until they stop turning then I yank on the bar will all my weight and force to make sure they're tight.

June is bad for me, except for last weekend 29-30. July is a little more open. I do need to get out to something this summer.

Mine weren't tight enough like Justins.

Justin you're lucky it didn't come loose, wipe out all the threads on that cylinder and and melt your coil pack, thats what happened to my car. Good times.
